Olga Mokhov on the Shasta Dam
As you can see the beard is still going.. Have you noticed a difference? Its been about a week sense the last pic. But I must admit, last time I talked to Joey Meddock he had a pretty good beard going, so if you’re out there Joey, post a pic on here, lets see hows she’s doing.. And for Trevor, I used to have faith in you regarding this subject, but lately I just don’t know what to think of you. And Corey Bradley, be a man and grow your beard past that little same setting beard trimmer you use, let her grow Corey.
So I got a newfoundland, named him Gus, suddenly someone in the industry gets a newfoundland, what do you know? hmmm. Later I find out Silas gets a pug and names it Gus, of course, then my friends mom names her dog Gus. Come on people!!!! Well now its my turn, my girlfriend and I are thinking about getting a pug together. Im not telling anyone the name of it……..but how could you resist a dog like this……..

So its been about four months sense Ive updated this lovely site called hypoxic4u.com. Well ive got several reasons why I havnt updated her, so where do I start……lets see….. the last post I made was when I was in Florida and Trevor bought a truck, the truck then decided to blow a transmission in the middle of Georgia……IT ALWAYS RAINS IN GEORGIA.
So, recently I filmed the CWB promo vid for them. I flew up to Washington and went with all the guys to lake Roosevelt on a houseboat for a week. It was absolutely freezing, I only went in the water once. I give “mad props” to the guys for getting out there and riding @ 5am every morning. After that trip was over, I flew home for a day and then flew to Arizona for another week to stay on another houseboat. Lets see…….it was 116 degrees all week long! I could not believe how hot it was, I didnt want to move, I didnt want to do anything. You see the problem with the heat that no one ever realizes is when it blows in your face going 25 mph down the lake, everyone in the boat is sitting below the windshield and facing away from the blowing hot hair, not me, Im standing straight up looking right into the firey pit of the Arizona hot air. So while everyone is sitting back listening to classical music in 110 thousand dollar boats watching the professional athletes do their lovely flippty do’s, Im feeling the lovely 116 degree hot air blowing in my face all day. But hey, whos complaining?
After filming all that, I took about a month and a half to edit the film. It turned out really good, i was happy with the final product. It was cool this time because usually I am working on a year long project with 100s of tapes and the riders end up having a lot of say in the film. Let me get something straight, no film producer actually likes having riders involved in the film, everyone just says that because it sounds good and nice. Now dont get me wrong about the topic, I probably work more with the riders than any other company out there, but what I dont like is when they want to have a part in editing the film. Everyone needs to know their roles, Im not out there busting sidewinders and the riders shouldnt be in the editing room making cuts left and right. We clear on that? Cool.. so what was cool is on this project is I pretty much just went MIA on this film. None of the riders knew the songs I used, they didnt see any shots and they never saw any of the sections. I like not having any input on a project, that way I know its all coming from me and only me. I dont want to give away the intro of the film, but thats exactly what Im talking about, you should check it out. The film is called INCEPTION and check your local CWB dealer for a copy.
But here is the real reason why I havnt been updating Hypoxic4u. For the last year and a half I have been really sick. Its a sickness where Im in complete body pain all day long, its something no one could understand until they experienced it for themselves, and I wish that upon no one. Ive been seeing doctors on a daily basis trying to figure out whats going on but no doctors could ever figure anything out. I really feel like my life has changed completely. I just have this feeling everyday all day long that completely overwhelms me, I feel like I have the flu 24 hours a day, so you can imagine updating a site is the last thing I really feel like doing. To be honest, the only reasons I filmed the CWB film was because I have an extremely high level of respect for that company and I didnt want to pass that opportunity up and really, I needed the money badly. Everyday filming on that trip was a huge struggle for me. Whats really hard for me is that no one knows whats going on, partly because I dont want anyone to know the truth but mainly because looking at me, you wouldnt think anything was wrong with me. Its hard because people ask me what Im up to, what am I doing next, whens the next film coming out, but mainly “where the hell have you been??” I just have to lie, and I really hate it, I just make things up like “oh you know, just staying busy”. But I dont think people would like to hear the hour long truth of whats really going on.
As of recently, starting four days ago, I have been staying at a clinic in Reno. I will actually be here for the next five weeks. During the next five weeks I will be getting a form of a detox treatment hoping that it will clear the infections out of my body and I will start feeling better.

Rubricizing ; a term coined by Abraham Maslow. He believed that there are two major ways to preview any experience. One is to observe its unique essence, how the experience is truly different and individualistic. The second, rubricizing, is to respond to an experience as a representative of a category (rubric). Rubricizing perception is similar to the actions of a file clerk who recognizes only what is minimally necessary to place a paper under A, B, Y, and so on. When we rubricize people, we quickly scan them for certain characteristics (often subsconscionusly) and place them into one of our mental file folders. A rubricized person becomes a member of a grouping : waiter, teenager, a Johnson kid, math major, jock, married, female, southerner, sorority type, and so on. Rubrics are categories of the mind.
I once was a van owner. Go watch my last film “Silly” to see Jaret Brantley huck himself over it. So I have much respect for van owners, especially the ones who obviously have no lives and dedicate their futures to making their vans the coolest things on the block.
Whats up home cat slices dices mices? Sorry. Im sorry. I shouldnt have said that. Im sorry. Its just that sometimes I feel a need to “feel it” I want to feel the funk. I need the funk, gotta have the funk. So right now while Im typing this im talking to Chris Law on AIM. Wanna know what he’s saying?? k Ill tell you. He just said “Got a presentation tomorrow that im not stoked on.” I just said “Sweet, whats it on?” “A chapter in my humanities book” I then say “humanities shamanities”…………..Long pause………..”exactly my thoughts” says Chris……… HAAA……He mentioned to me again that theres a cable park in Oklahoma. hello cheerleaders. So everyone always ask me who I ride with back home because I’m always filming far away from home. Well a couple guys from home I ride with called me up today letting me know they were going out to the lake to session this little pond by the lake they found.
